8 Best Breakfast Places in Cebu
What is the best way to start the day? A big breakfast! But we get so caught up with our busy schedules and the crazy traffic before going to work that many of us tend to miss breakfast. I am no exception. Breakfast is not my favorite meal of the day, but breakfast food is the best. I drool at the thought of Omelettes full of cheese and all kinds of silog – Tapsilog, Tocilog and even Spamsilog. Whenever I miss breakfast, I like to brunch or visit restaurants that offer “All Day Breakfast”.
Here are my favorite spots for All Day Breakfast:
1. Yolk

2. Camden cafe
One of my new favorite cafes is Camden. Their pancakes are to die for! Other breakfast food choices are also good but personally, it’s the pancakes that won my heart. The cafe is situated in a secluded spot so it’s a bit hard to find – make use of GPS or ask a friend for directions ahead.

3. Birdseed Breakfast Club + Cafe
When I find myself driving in the Escario area then I go to Birdseed Breakfast Club. They have a wide variety of breakfast choices. Some meals are a bit pricey but can also be shared because of the generous serving portions.

4. Abaca Baking Company
One of the best things about working around the Banilad area is the accessibility to ABC! Brunch here is the gift that keeps on giving. Their buttery croissants and Chocolate truffle are my favorites. Don’t be intimidated with “Abaca,” the prices are not ridiculous at all.

5. Tymad Bistro
Breakfast and brunch lovers should definitely Tymad Bistro. If you want to experience the best French breakfast in Cebu then this is the place to be. From Croissants, Pain Au Chocolat, Kouign Amman and most of all, the crepes! My favorite is Chef Philippe’s Special Crepe. Although it is a bit expensive, the quality and one of a kind breakfast experience is definitely worth it!

6. Dessert Factory
The rest of this list is what some may deem as commercial choices, but there’s an advantage to being everywhere, it just makes good food easier to find. It’s time to try something else aside from the desserts in Dessert Factory. They have breakfast dishes which are very affordable. My favorite is their Fried Sardines. I found it intriguing and wondered what it might taste like. It’s delicious unless you really don’t eat fish – sardines in particular.

Recommended dish: 3 Egg Omelet and Fried Spanish Sardines
7. Vanille Cafe
It’s hard to resist the desserts on display at Vanille but what you might not know is that they also serve all day breakfast meals. If you go there in the morning (7am-11am), you can enjoy bottomless juice, tea and coffee.
Location: Various – Ayala Centre Cebu, SM City Cebu, etc.
Recommended dish: Hungarian sausage with toasted bread
8. Bo’s Coffee
As you know, we love coffee shops and cafes. We love coffee and we love working in coffee shops (aka writing articles). I usually go to Bo’s early in the morning for two reasons: First is to get more things done and second is to enjoy their unlimited brewed coffee that comes with their breakfast plate. Bacon is life here!
Location: Too many to list down – they are EVERYWHERE. Favorite spots – BTC, AS Fortuna, Osmena Blvd., all the malls etc.
