A few friends and I ended the month of June with something new, at least for me it was something new. We borrowed a few mountain bikes, drove all the way to Foressa Mountain Town, and went cycling around the Foressa Trails.
Every now and then, a buzz can be heard all around Cebu. Sometimes, it’s about a new mall opening, a popular movie, a weird scandal, or in this case, the presence of otherwise distant animals on our shores.

We were excited for our visit to the Cebu Safari and Adventure Park. The prospect of showing breathing animals to our two year old was enough to brave the two hour drive up North to Barangay Corte, Carmen (about 50 kilometers from Cebu City).
I generally try to stay away from superlatives, but if there is one thing I believe without a shadow of a doubt, it’s that everyone needs to travel.
Travel is the gift that keeps on giving. You learn so much about yourself and about the world. It can open up your mind to new possibilities and teach you other ways of doing things.

When was the last time you had a real vacation? I say real because with the internet, it’s very possible to continue working even in a secluded beach in the middle of nowhere. I struggle with this. Whenever we go out to relax, I usually find time to check email, respond to a few inquiries, and even on occasion, extinguish a few work fires.
