Who took a break for Sinulog this year?

We did! – Well kinda… we got to experience Sinulog right in the palm of our hands through Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.

For those who don’t know what Sinulog is, it’s a yearly festival celebrated every third Sunday of January. It’s a celebration of the image of the Child Jesus that we call the Santo Niño de Cebu.

Traditionally, Sinulog features a street parade with people dancing in colourful costumes. This is called the Sinulog Grand Parade. These days many people use the Sinulog as an excuse to party. Either way, millions of people from all over the world come to Cebu to celebrate.

As much as we wanted to attend this year’s festival, we had a couple of grown up errands to do. Luckily, we were still able to see what was happening. Thank God for mobile internet! People were posting their photos real time. We didn’t miss any of the crazy and it felt like we were there!

Here are our favorites.

It’s a good thing we are registered to GlobePowersuf 499. I was able to see all these photos, while running my errands all day. At the bank, while waiting, or while making my way through the Manila traffic I was able to keep up, and see exactly what my friends were doing!

So to stay connected, and updated text POWERSURF to 8888 or dial *143# to enjoy 1GB of mobile internet. No need to wait till you find a wifi connection.
