Here’s the thing with reward cards, I don’t get it. Normally, the cards are tough to understand. How much are the points actually worth? The card and all my points expire? What products are valid with the card? Not all the products? It’s a mess.

That’s why it was a breath of fresh air to learn about CactusPoints. It’s easy to use, you can use it in various stores, it never expires and one point equals one peso. They just recently launched and are available for use in ten outlets as of this writing, but they have the potential to spread their reward card to shops all over the Philippines.

Here’s how it works:

Sign up online or at any member merchant locations

Earn points by using the Cactus Points Card

Points equal cash (1 point = 1 peso)

That’s it. It’s that simple. How do you know where Cactus Points will work? All you need to do is look for

the purple cloud.

As of this writing, Cactus Points will work in the following outlets:

Alejandros, Casa Verde, Coffee Cat, Everything Yummy, Fujinoya, Holiday Spa, Joan & Klaire, Modern

Mama, Republik and Urban Superior. Expect them to add more establishments soon.

What’s the future for CactusPoints?

First of all, they won’t be resting on their laurels. They promised more establishments accredited soon.

Before you know it, all the great places to dine and shop will have CactusPoints available for redemption. Second, the technology is still in its infancy. Eventually, we won’t need the card anymore.

You’ll just need a smart phone. This is all in the hopes to make the rewards card experience as smooth

as possible.
