Yolanda was on everyone’s mind and we weren’t sure anyone would be up to seeing our video, Old School: a documentary on Cebu’s Skateboarders.
A good number of people showed up to enter the game of SKATE and watch the skate documentary.
Here are a few of my takeways:
– Many who joined the game of skate were really really young. Like you couldn’t serve them alcohol. That young. It was great to see everyone play the game. It was a competition, but everyone was very supportive of each other. The skate community really knows how to look out for each other.
– Those who stayed throughout the night and watched the video seemed to really appreciate it. I was surprised to see the documentary receive applause after it ended. I got the pleasure to talk to many of the skaters and they were glad to see 20 years of skateboarding wrapped in a 19 minute package. Wonderful experience talking to everyone.
Old School: a documentary on Cebu’s Skateboarders will be officially released on 11:00 am on Sunday (11/24/13). Visit ZeroThreeTwo.com at that time. It’ll be up.
We hope you like it as much as those who watched the first viewing. Hopefully, we get to do more documentaries along the way.
Thanks to Shad and friends for documenting the event! Great video guys!
