This was a year of firsts.
First time many of the people under Zerothreetwo met each other.
First time we as a group just hung out, played games, exchanged gifts, and had fun.
This was the first Zerothreetwo Christmas Party.
It won’t be the last.
After seeing everyone in one room, it made me realize how lucky I was to work with all these talented people. I still remember the early days of Zerothreetwo, when I was scrambling to get writers, asking favors from friends, badgering people, following up, and trying to get good photos.
Just keeping everything going was a huge challenge. Along the way, I met all these great people. This was the first time I got to see the team all in one place. They are who make Zerothreetwo what it is. They keep the engine running.
It’s just a Christmas party, but in a weird way, it made me optimistic for the future. I can’t wait till we get started with 2017. That’s when we’ll be ramping up everything. This isn’t a post to get into too much detail on our 2017 plans, there’s another post for that, but I’m really happy with how we got here. No assholes, no ego, no politics.
Just good people.
More of that for 2017.
Let’s get to who made our first Christmas Party possible.
Thanks to Shaira for organizing the games and recommending Luca’s Test Kitchen. I’m not much of a party organizer so your presence and gamesmanship made all the difference.
Thanks to Gianni from Luca’s Test Kitchen. The food was great! We’ll be back.
Thanks Scott for taking all the photos. They look awesome bai! For the all the Lomography nerds out there, Scott used an LC-A+ with ColorSplash Flash attached and expired Lucky Super 200 color negative film.
Thanks to Steph for buying the balloons and making all your little suggestions. You are my rock!
Thanks to the rest of the crew, Jake, Peachy, Ann Lorraine, Issa, Donald and Krisha, for showing up. You guys were awesome. I had so much fun chatting and hanging out. I hope you enjoyed the night as well.
To everyone who couldn’t make it, hopefully we see you next time. This party won’t be the last! There will be plenty more things to celebrate in the future.
To end, here are the photos from the rest of the night, and my favorite video from the party.
