Most people know the UP Cookout as one of the biggest and best concerts in the city! But it’s also a chance for students to let loose and present the proud UP talents. The dances and fashion shows are talked about long after their performances and live in UP-lore (Remember the Bellboys?).

Not many know that the original cookout sometime in the 70s was literally… well… a cookout. It was an avenue for students to sit, socialize, eat, and discuss the political situation in the Philippines.
