Vienna Kaffeehaus has partnered with Raise a Village Organization and the Municipality of Talibon to construct/repair homes in the relocation site for the landless poor of Paradise Village, Jao Island (not to be confused with Paradise Village in Banilad).

The people in Jao island were chosen by this charity because of the extreme poverty being experienced. Due to the nature of their location, not many travelers visit the island and not much commerce happens there. The lack of activity has caused several problems that contribute to homelessness: poverty and a lack of education.

What can you do?

Contact Fr. Ned Disu (0947-4618429 or 0915-8797536) and directly help the Raise a Village Organization or simply grab a coffee in any Vienna Kaffeehaus branch. Part of the proceeds from every cup of coffee, goes towards building a new home for the people of Jao Island, Northern Bohol.

P.S. Jao Island is close to the Danajon Bank, one of the six documented double barrier reefs in the world. It is spread across almost 130kms and consists of 3 large reefs.

P.P.S. If you want to help more, contact Fr. Ned Disu. They have various community programs such as scholarships, food security and nutrition programs, and livelihood startup programs.
