We were lucky enough to experience a night of wonderful classical music at the Chapel of San Pedro Calungsod. The performances were of the Cebu Philharmonic Orchestra with cameos from Dr. Ingrid Sala-Santamaria and Rhea May Sadaya.

Here’s a video of  the Cebu Philharmonic Orchestra playing Coriolanus Overture, Op. 62 (Ludwig van Beethoven).

In case you want to know more about the Cebu Philharmonic Orchestra, here’s an excerpt from their leaflet:

The orchestra was organized in March 2011 by a group of Cebu-based classical musicians. While most of them are second generation musicians trained by the original members of the Cebu Youth Symphony Orchestra (CYSO), the Cebu Philharmonic Orchestra envisions for Cebu to eventually find its place on the world’s cultural map. Through its performances in different venues and social events in Cebu, it hopes to revive the popularity and appreciation for classical music.
