Welcome to Through the Lens!

To the followers of this series, thank you so much for the support.

This weekend’s post is a recap of our first year of Through the Lens. You’ll see previous Photo of the Month winners, and the chosen Photo of the Year for 2015.

In mid-2015, we talked about adding good photo-related content to the blog. This was inspired and loosely based on “PANORAMA” by The Hundreds, one of our favorite websites. We wanted to showcase people who shared their story and esthetic with Zerothreetwo. Anybody who had the same eye for beauty went into consideration.

This series is just less than a year old. So far it’s really fun curating it. On a personal perspective, 2015 was a bit hard on me. I felt like it was the most uninspiring time for my photography. Good thing I had Through the Lens to balance it out. It’s amazing how looking at other people’s beautiful photos boosts your inspiration.

Here’s a lookback to previous Photo of the Month (POTM) winners, three noteworthy photos from POTM contenders, and the chosen Photo of the Year (POTY) winner for 2015.

Quick notes:

  • I won’t be doing Through the Lens for a few weeks. I will be spending time with someone from a galaxy far away.
  • A photography project that you can do for Sinulog is to take a lot of portraits. You can choose from the many contestants or go straight down to regular people enjoying the show. Make it special by talking to them. Let their story be known through your portrait. I did a short one at @AkoSugboanon. Have fun! Prititiiit!

See ya in Summer!
