Winning the coveted Miss Cebu really changes lives. ZeroThreeTwo was lucky enough to get an audience with Miss Cebu 2012, Anther Infante. She’s about to relinquish her crown . We got in touch with her to see what she had to say.

The moment I earned the crown, my life took a totally different route. I was set to continue my 8-hr job and keep my DJing on the side. But my first year right after college turned out to be so much more. Being Miss Cebu 2012 opened my eyes to a bigger world.

Anther Infante by Jay young 2I saw different realities, met amazing people and went to places I would not have gone to. That year (2012) gave me a lot of opportunities for learning. From being oblivious to things happening around me, I am now more aware and have a better sense of purpose. Having been given the title, my goal was to grab every opportunity and to make a positive difference whether big or small.

Though a few things may not have turned out as good as others and I may have fallen short to some expectations, it all makes up for one memorable year for me. Certainly, the best thing about Miss Cebu is being Miss Cebu. Very few women are given the chance and I am beyond grateful for being one of them. I will surely look back at 2012 with a big smile on my face and a thankful heart.

I hope the upcoming Miss Cebu 2013 will realize how blessed she truly is and use every chance to be more so she can give more. Have an open mind and prepare herself for a great experience. Honor every opportunity and savor every moment because time flies so fast.

Many thanks to Jay Young for making this possible.
