The Business Communication Class of the Ateneo Graduate School of Business- Cebu in partnership with the Cebu Arts Foundation Incorporated founded by Congressman Eduardo Gullas, have recently launched “A Bag of Dreams” Campaign.

This fundraising activity is aimed at helping address part of the problem of the country’s educational system by donating bags of school supplies to 2,407 destitute students of the San Roque Elementary School in Talisay City, Cebu.

Talisay has a population belonging to the low income class of the city. According to Department of Education statistics, out of 10 entrants in Grade 1, only 6 will complete the elementary course. The aim is to raise at least P500,000 in order to provide the necessary tools and school supplies for these public students in need.

The group is selling a “Dream” wristband for only P180. By buying 1 band, you are already giving a child 1 bag to fulfill his dreams, and a chance at a better life.

“A Bag of Dreams” supports every child’s right to proper education. If you wish to partner with this advocacy, please write a check to Cebu Arts Foundation Inc. You can also deposit cash to Unionbank Checking Account number 002750000380, account name Gerald Anthony Gullas. If we work together, we can start bridging this educational gap in our community.

To support this advocacy, you can contact: Gerald Anthony Gullas 09173253573 or John Rey Guadalquiver at 09173250051. You could also check the facebook page: A Bag of Dreams Campaign. Your donations will go a long way in shaping these kids’ future, one bag at a time.
