The first time I really got a chance to see Vincent Eco play live was during a Listening Room performance hosted 22 Tango Records. The experience was surreal. I couldn’t help myself and talked to the person beside me, “It’s so good… But so fucking depressing!” And I mean that in the most positive way possible. Good music along with good art has the ability to make you feel.
Introducing the Official Lyric Video of Kiss & Disappear by Vincent Eco.
We’ve long been fans of Vincent Eco. So much so that we’ve featured him way back in 2016 and again a few months ago. We even jumped at the chance to collaborate with 22 Tango Records on Vincent Eco merchandise.
Today, we get to talk to one of Cebu’s local artists, Vincent Eco about his job. Suffice to say, I think it’s time we shed the spotlight on local music and continue #supportinglocal!
One of the advantages of living in a small city like Cebu is the opportunity to meet many people. The circles are small. If you are seeking a particular tribe, it isn’t difficult to find. Want to meet musicians? Watch a few gigs and share beers with them afterwards. Want to meet dancers? Take a few dance classes and hang out after. The magic happens when you get people from different tribes and put them together to collaborate.
In its core, good music is subjective. When you or I like a piece of music, we aren’t wrong. That piece happened to pique our interest, happened to speak to our core, happened to tug on our hearts.
