10 years of music and celebration. 10 years of bringing people together. 10 years since Cebu joined the world in celebrating Fête de la Musique.
After a decade of success, event organizer Alliance française de Cebu (AFC) is back to spread music in the spirit of France’s ideals of liberty, equality, and brotherhood. Along with co-presenters Marco Polo Plaza Hotel and Sugbo Mercado, they continue the showcase of talents.
We first wrote about Honeydrop in 2013. The new song Once is a sound of a band that has grown up, but at the same time, kept key parts of their roots intact. Their unique chill style is intact, but it doesn’t sound like they need to try as hard.
In its core, good music is subjective. When you or I like a piece of music, we aren’t wrong. That piece happened to pique our interest, happened to speak to our core, happened to tug on our hearts.
By the time this gets published on Zerothreetwo, I will have begun a 31 hour trip back home. Three flights and two layovers which begins in Akron, Ohio and ends in Cebu, Philippines.
As the title implies, I’d been in the United States for a total of 34 days. It’s been crazy fun, but we’ve had our share of tough times as well. Travelling as a group of 10 adults, 3 kids, 3 pre-schoolers, and 1 toddler is no joke.
The email subject line read, “Hey! It’s Your Birthday – Songs and Lyrics.” I was confused. It wasn’t my birthday, but sure enough, when I opened the email, there were a few gifts. Little mp3 files nicely wrapped for my listening pleasure.
