The longest running film festival in the Philippines, Cine Europa, will be taking place in Ayala Center Cebu Cinemas from Friday October 7 to Sunday October 9, 2016. This is the nineteenth year of the festival which is celebrating the 25th year of the arrival of European Union Delegation in the Philippines. Hence, the theme of the festival this year is “Friendship”. Twenty two films from around Europe will be shown for free, so get there early if you want to beat the crowds. The festival is showing in Cebu as part of the Cine Europa’s touring schedule which will travel to eleven Filipino cities.
Cebu has a long history of creating wonderful local films. The Binisaya Film Festival 2016 is an opportunity to finally see those films on the big screen.
There’s so much happening in the week of the festival that we decided to post all the details in one easy page for your reference.
Always happy to see wonderful shorts set in Cebu. Part of the reason we share as much as we can about this lovely place we live is to show what it is like to step into our shores. This short provides a glimpse at the Cebuano youth of today. As I’ve said before, we’re in good hands.
Kudos to the team!
