I’m truly grateful that I’m born at a time when my gender does not limit my opportunities in life. Women have become very empowered and independent. This is why we see an increase in women embarking on journeys alone. The aftermath of the bestselling book turned movie Eat, Pray, Love has been a factor too.
I love me a nice cozy place, away from the crowd of chatty people, where one can contemplate on life’s major issues like, “What is the best ballpen to use when writing my feelings down?” or “Why is Binay being a pain in the gluteus maximus?” or “Does this mauve lipstick look good on me?” We found the perfect place for this and more. People who want their peace and quiet will be delighted with this new cafe nestled in the heart of town.
When we found out about a Cat Café in Cebu, we off handedly mentioned it to my niece. To our surprise, she immediately responded with, “We should go there as soon as we can!!” To our dismay, we scheduled a weekend to visit the Cat Café.
We’ve been lamenting for a while now that it’s hard to find healthy food in our corner of the world. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy a thick slab of lechon as much as the next guy, but as my dad would say, “Everything in moderation.” It’s good to finally have choices that feed the body and not just the stomach.
