Seems like we are experiencing a resurgence.
Slowly yet surely, quality gigs are starting to pop up around the city. Bands are getting together. Musicians are sharing their art. Recordings are being processed. Music is making their way around the crowd. The only thing lacking as far as I can tell is a legit music venue.
The email subject line read, “Hey! It’s Your Birthday – Songs and Lyrics.” I was confused. It wasn’t my birthday, but sure enough, when I opened the email, there were a few gifts. Little mp3 files nicely wrapped for my listening pleasure.
Has it been ten years? And still the same bands on TV and in sponsored gigs? Ten years of the same thing. Some are great, some the opposite of great.
I’d like to call on everybody who wants Cebu music to stay alive and progress.
