A few days ago, I was having a conversation about the music scene in Cebu. It was so different from seven years ago. I’m showing my age, but stay with me, this isn’t going to be a rant comparing how much better, cooler, or more difficult it was back in the day.
Alarm rings at 4:30am. Empty bed. Tissues around a picture frame on the side table. What’s in the photo? The frame is faced down. Flashes of her ex. A new breakup? She goes for a run. Runs by EVERY location a special moment happened with her gone relationship.
We first wrote about Honeydrop in 2013. The new song Once is a sound of a band that has grown up, but at the same time, kept key parts of their roots intact. Their unique chill style is intact, but it doesn’t sound like they need to try as hard.
