Ever since starting this podcast, I’ve gotten a deeper understanding of different communities, especially communities that I know nothing about. For example, the LGBTQIA is something very foreign to me.
With that in mind, I talked to Jude Bacalso. Where to start when describing Jude? She has so many accolades that it wouldn’t make sense to list them all down. But I think the best description would be simple. She is one of Cebu’s best story tellers. Hence, the perfect person to tell me about the LGBTQIA community.
In this episode, we talked about what Jude does for a living, the use of terms like he/she/them/bayot, the current struggles of the LGBTQIA community, and the different ways to move forward.
