When you’ve had too much of clubs with blinding strobe lights and bars with music so loud, it makes you go deaf, Urban Cellar is the ultimate haven. Inspired by an English pub, Urban Cellar gives you the feel of a medieval tavern where you can unwind after a long day. Whether it’s a cold beer with friends, a bottle of wine or spirits to celebrate, or a panini to feast on, Urban Cellar has a lot to offer. They are especially known for their wide variety of imported beers and wines as well as their deli and European groceries, such as gourmet sausages.

But what I especially love about Urban Cellar is that whether you are a first-timer or a regular, you feel right at home, especially with their friendly staff. The place has a cozy atmosphere that’s hard to find in most bars in the city. It’s the kind of place where you want to go back to, where you can have long, relaxed conversations with buddies over a StrongBow, a Guinness or a SanMig (their best selling beers – served with free peanuts too!). Urban Cellar also has a room behind the bar called ‘The Chapel’ that customers can reserve for more intimate affairs. It has a wide screen TV where you can watch sports and the like, free wifi, and an iPod dock for anyone to play their songs.

Urban Cellar can be found in Piazza Elisea Mall, Talamban. Especially for those living up north, it’s the perfect place to grab a beer before heading home. They’re open daily from 11 am to 2am. Drop by one of these nights and I’m sure you’ll find your new favorite hangout. Cheers!
