What’s the easiest stress reliever for when you are sad, depressed or stressed? Here’s a hint. Spell stressed backwards.

Desserts!

If you are a sweet tooth like me, bad feelings or even the worst case of PMS can be easily cured with a good helping of chocolate. When ever I see perfectly captured photos of chocolates on Instagram, I drool. This was especially true when I saw the rich desserts from the Chocolate Chamber.

The Place

When I walked inside, the interiors looked elegant and classy. The staff serve everything with what seems like silverware and ceramic plates. Some people might even be intimidated to go inside. The truth is they are missing a lot. You’ll never know till you try. Good chocolate comes with a price!

Location

You can easily find the Chocolate Chamber in President Quirino St. in Mabolo. If you are coming from Ayala, then take the left turn right before Sarrosa Hotel. You’ll see it on the left side.

The Food

Here’s what in store for you when you go inside this chamber of sweetness:

  • Hot Chocolate – There’s a long list of hot chocolate flavours you can choose from depending on your preference and mood. I tried the Hibiscus Hot Chocolate. I had no regrets.
  • Pizza Platter – If you go inside and decide you don’t want to eat something Chocolateey! (How sad?!)
  • Sandwiches
  • Chocolate High Tea
  • Cakes
  • Extra delights

I decided to try their sets of Filipino Favorites. Since it was also a popular choice, I thought it was the safest thing to go for. You have two choices; set A and B.

Set A – 2pcs of Chocolate Ensaymada and a cup of Hot Chocolate of your choice. Priced at Php 250.

Set B – 3 pcs of Chocolate Pandesal, Cookie Butter and a cup of Hot Chocolate of your choice. Priced at Php 195.

The Hot Chocolate is extremely good! The Chocolate Ensaymada and Pandesal were both pretty good as well.

A must try is the Chocolate High Tea. You might have seen a friend or two post this on Instagram or Facebook. It’s a full fledged meal: Raisin Scone, Lemon scone, Homemade Marmalade, Pralines, Artisan sandwiches, a Greek Salad and a cup of Hot Chocolate of your preferred flavour. You can only order it from 3:25pm to 5:21pm. If you know Philippine history well, you’ll figure out the significance of the time.
