Seriously, how can you not want to completely devour a good steak? The growing number of places that offer steak shows our love for this carnivorous dish. The challenge is finding steak served in a different way. Restaurants that are creative in food preparation make it much more appealing. For this reason, I was thrilled when a friend invited us to a unique steak experience in Amo’s Cafe.
Amo’s Café offers steak in a unique and creative way. Yes, you can be creative with Steak!
We were served a super-hot stone – a natural volcanic stone with high heat retention. These stones were placed in a hot oven for long hours. In short, it is very hot. Hot enough to cook a steak. So that’s exactly what we did. It was delightful. The experience of cooking our own steak was unmatched.
Our three course meal consisted of Cream of Fresh Mushroom Soup (which I personally love), US Black Angus Beef Tenderloin or Rib Eye on the stone grill and Baked Alaska.
If steak isn’t your thing, you can also do it with prawns. Yay for seafood lovers!
There are available desserts and a long list of drinks in Amo’s Café. You should be all set!
For a truly unique dining experience, the price is slightly higher than the usual steak places but still worth trying.
U.S Angus Beef tenderloin and Rib Eye are still in their introductory rate of Php 888 and the Prawns is at Php 488. You can also try their combination of (50oz/150g) tenderloin steak and 2pcs king prawns at Php 688.
Situated inside a prime boutique hotel, Amo’s Café offers a private corner away from busy restaurants. It is located in the ground floor of Alpa City Suites, Hernan Cortes, Mandaue City.
