The Philippines has an undeniable Spanish influence in our culture. It’s no wonder why many of us love Spanish food. Spain is renowned to have cuisines which are very savory and flavorful. When we talk about Spanish food, what’s the first thing that comes to your mind? Of course, tapas!!  In Streetscape near Maria Luisa, a Spanish restaurant serves amazing tapas!

Let’s talk about Gorliz!

The Place

Upon entering the restaurant, you will feel the festive yet classy vibe with the vibrant colorful tiles on the wall. The incandescent lighting also adds to the unique ambiance the restaurant radiates. It is perfect for casual dinner dates with family and friends.

The Food

Gorliz offers a variety of the famous choices for Spanish dishes; jamon serrano, jamon iberico, croquetaas de jamon, boquerones en vinagre, chorizo, and paella are just a few to choose from.

My personal favorites are Gambas al Ajillo and the Paella Negra. For those who are watching their rice intake and would like to go for something lighter and healthier, try their Gorliz Salad. It was very good.

The Price

Main dishes range from 300 – 700 pesos, while the tapas are 160 – 500 pesos. It’s a bit pricey, but the dishes are worth it. Definitely give it a try especially if you are fond of Spanish food.

The Location

Gorliz Tapas Y Vinos is located at the 2nd floor of Streetscape. It is above Gelatissimo.  The restaurant has a big area so it’s hard to miss it.  You can check their Facebook page for more information.
