Filipinos are food lovers! We love gatherings and fiestas. No feast is ever complete without a crispy tasty roasted pig or what we call Lechon.  Cebu is the ultimate place to be if you want to taste the best Lechon.  Agree?

Rico’s Lechon truly lives up to that.  Mr. Enrico V. Dionson started the business in 1995 without any experience in roasting and cooking, but after 13 years, his name has become synonymous to lami nga Lechon.  It was former president Estrada who gave Rico his big break when he was chosen to cook Lechon for Erap’s birthday party in Malacanang.  From then on, there were non-stop orders from celebrities, politicians and people from all over the country.  Rico is also the man behind the all-time favorite and original spicy Lechon.  Last December, they finally opened a restaurant in the city.

Ricos lechon frontageThe Place

Rico’s Lechon restaurant is minimalistic and simple. The tables and chairs are ergonomic and comfortable which is perfect for focusing on eating that crispy, spicy and juicy Lechon. You can see framed pictures of roasted pigs on the wall.  At one corner, there are photos of satisfied celebrities and prominent personalities. On weekends, the place is usually full so I suggest you drop by early. It is located at the ground floor of the Ridges Commercial Center in Panagdait, Mabolo. It is beside the coffee shop, Off Roads and Sykes Asia building.

The Food

No words can express how good their Lechon is. That’s a fact! They also offer other dishes if you want variety. Their Dinuguan is a perfect match for the spicy Lechon. Also a thumbs up to their Kinilaw na Tangigue! You might want to try their new recipe called Sweet and Sour Lechon.

The Price

The price is right because it is SUPER LAMI jud (tastes really really really good)! The original Lechon is Php 470 per kilo and Php 520 for the spicy Lechon.

For orders, you can reach them at (032) 344-0119 or +63915-7033964. You can also check out their facebook page.
