It’s amazing to see the creativity in new establishments. This is an indication of stiff competition in the food and restaurant industry. Just like milk tea places, new cafés have sprouted everywhere. We love them! I personally like creative cafes where you can squat, hug a pillow or teddy bear and enjoy good drinks with friends.
There’s a café that some of you may already be familiar with. Café Tiala has brought royalty in their name and ambiance. The pink colors inside is definitely eye candy for the girls. I hope the guys don’t mind that much.
One of the things that make Café Tiala stand out from the other new cafes is their wide food choices. When we visited, I couldn’t decide what to pick. In the end, I had Half Spicy Ramen, Tiala Sandwich (the house specialty sandwich) and Java Chip. The Half Spicy Ramen was good while the Tiala Sandwich and Java Chip were both delicious!
I wanted to try more food but unfortunately, I didn’t have enough space left in my tummy. Other popular picks which look really good are Gimbap and Tteokbokki. Aside from coffee and frap, they also serve juices and smoothies.
The price for food and drinks at Café Tiala are very reasonable.
The Half Spicy Ramen with rice (quite big for a half order) was only Php 99. You can add Php 49 if you opt to have add-ons like egg or cheese. Whole ramen is priced at Php 129. Gimbab and Tteokbokk costs Php 129 too. Frapuccino like Vanilla, Java Chip and Green Tea are priced at Php 179 as well as the Tiala Sandwich. Smoothies are sold at Php 149.
Here’s a tip! If you order Php 300 for single receipt, you get a free cup of coffee and a platter of bread and jam. Don’t you just love freebies?
As mentioned, the inside is literally painted pink. There are small rooms for private settings and a more spacious open area on the second floor. Each room has a cute frame or piece of art and you can actually play PSP too! I also got to enjoy a little massage. Some guests also play dress up with the costumes available. The staff is also dressed in housemaid costumes. This makes it seem like you are true blue royalty.
As you can tell, it’s perfect for random dates and girl bonding sessions. Cozy, unique, has good Wi-Fi (at least when I was there) plus they have ample parking space.
Café Tiala is located at Unit 2-D 2nd Floor, Forum building, Archbishop Reyes Avenue Cebu City. The building is right beside the old Grand Convention centre. If you are coming from the Banilad area, you can easily spot it as they have a signboard outside.
