Even though it was quite far from my usual route (I don’t normally venture to Banawa), I opted to check the place out. The buzz is that they serve super sumptuous chicken meals.
Normally, I would have been a little disappointed because I’m not a fan of chicken. So I brought a friend along for the chicken while I was to explore the rest of the menu to make my tummy happy.
Editor’s Note: Not a fan of chicken?!?!?!?? Sacrilegious.
The minimalist themes are extending out of the web. Many restaurants nowadays seem to be going for a simple and clean ambiance. Possibly to put all the attraction to the food? Chicken Junction is a great example of that.
On the outside, the signage is clear and stands out. The interior is painted white which goes well with the plastic red chairs and the orange counter. Also there is a sink in the corner which is always a good idea because eating chicken with bare hands is perfecto!
As we were scanning the menu, the pictures of the food all looked inviting! We ordered the Sizzling Devil’d Chicken and a Sizzling Pork Sisig, my usual favourite. Let’s see how it stacks up.
The Sizzling Pork Sisig didn’t disappoint! It’s definitely up there with my usual favourites. It was so good that I couldn’t help myself from trying the Sizzling Devil’d Chicken. Oh my! It was devil’d spicy! For the those who like their food hot and spicy, this is the way to go. We had to order an extra drink because it was too spicy for us. In short, we were very satisfied with our picks.
Their best seller is the Chicken Inasal, but we were more intrigued with their Glazed Crunchy Chicken. Next time, we’ll try it out.
The prices are very reasonable. Most choices are less than your lavender coloured paper! That’s less than P100.
Getting there isn’t difficult. Chicken Junction is located at One Pavilion Mall, Banawa Cebu City. That’s the mall with the condominium right behind Jollibee (if you are coming from Capitol).
