When I first heard about Carnivore restaurant, I kind of knew what to expect. Who wouldn’t? Everything is in the name. It sounds down right animalistic! By definition, carnivore means a flesh-eating mammal just like you and me. It simply means meat lovers – time to attack!
Meat will always be a constant in the market. Although there are a growing number of vegans, Cebuanos undeniably love meat. Everyone’s addiction for lechon is a testament to that.
Carnivore is among the restaurants lined up in The Gallery area. They have a relaxing ambiance with a one of a kind open kitchen. This allows customers to see how your food is being prepared and cooked. This only proves how confident they are with their food handling and preparation.
Since it’s a meat lover’s haven, expect a menu filled with meat of course. As always, go with the best sellers especially for your first visit. Try their signature Carnivore burger which is made of Kitayama Wagyu Beef & US Angus beef, homemade mayonnaise and cheddar cheese. It tastes as good as it sounds! From the main dishes, Beef Shank was an interesting pick since it was local beef from Bukidnon.
Just because they’re all about the meat, it doesn’t mean they don’t serve greens. They also have Pasta, Chicken Quesadilla, Fish Tacos and other seasonal dishes. You shouldn’t also miss on their sweet treats such as the Fried Oreos, Coconut Panna Cotta and homemade ice cream.
Editor’s Note: According to the staff, they change their menu fairly often. At the time of this writing, expect a different menu. Although their best sellers should still be around.
The prices range from Php 170-450 while the desserts are at Php 80-100 and up.
Prices may change any time so it would be better to check it out upon your visit.
