When Parkmall invited me to judge a dog show, no one was more surprised than me.
I replied, “Uy hahaha I have to decline. I don’t know anything about dogs. I’m not really a dog person. I think my wife might be a better candidate.”
Then they clarified that it was for the Pawshionista Pet Runway Competition, pets and their owners strut their stuff wearing the national costume from their assigned country. Always up for something fun, I said yes.
People read differently in different mediums.
What may work in those mediums won’t necessarily work on a blog.
Newspapers are designed to fit as much text and photos into a limited space. That’s why you see a giant headline and blocks of text.
A block of text on the internet is one sure way to get readers to hit the back button and go back to browsing Facebook.
When I was in high school, a classmate brought his acoustic guitar and left it in class for anyone to use. My musically inclined friends were picking up the guitar and playing riffs from familiar songs. This captured my imagination and I spent every spare moment trying to learn how to play. Guitar playing might have been one of the most important skills I learned in school.
True music fans are always looking for ways to support their favorite acts. Buying their merch is one way to do so.
