Every once in a while you find yourself in situations that are genuinely life changing. This was one of those situations.
About a week ago, we joined a feeding program set up by a group called, Volunteer in Cebu. The goal was to feed a thousand people in Barangay Guizo. It’s the barangay right behind the now defunct Cebu International Convention Center (CICC).
It’s not every day you get to have a quick chat with a founder of an iOS app. It’s even rarer when he happens to be a big celebrity like Slater Young.
The app in question is KLIK – Selfie Chat with Friends and Matches. It allows you to chat with people by adding selfies to your messages.
I hate saying it. Not because I don’t support local. Obviously, I do, but it implies that we have to support local just for the sake of it being local. Support it because you think it’s good.
Part of our goal in ZeroThreeTwo is to help open minds to the good stuff that is right here in the Philippines.

For the 90’s kids, remember the first time you tried Kublai Khan? Mine was in the Gaisano Country Mall branch. I still remember my excitement. All the vegetables were ignored and I went straight to the meat section. I tried my best to fill the bowl with as much rice and meat as possible. It was a thrill to put it together and wait for it to come out cooked.
Every once in a while, a new place pops up with an interesting name, tried and true food and a special combination of factors that all seem to say, “try me.”
